Laurence Fox - Political ambitions

Not spouting anything divisive won't stop him being accused of being XRW - purely by virtue of him not agreeing wholeheartedly with the Woke.

That's been his point several times over: any disagreement with the hysterical leads to vilification - no matter how mild, or reasonable, the disagreement.
Exactly - he'll be able to say something reasonable, wait until the left howl and spit ad homs, because they can't debate with better ideas, and he can simply sit back and say, 'see, I told you...'.

Calling H20
I'd say it's like any current government organisation. If you climb up to the higher echelons you'd have to adapt and take on more liberal views in order for this to happen.

On the landings you get a small amount of union types who have some very socialist left wing views but they definitely not woke, in fact they are anti-woke in my experience.

If someone was on the landing spouting woke BS on my wing I think we'd all agree it is only a matter of time before they are corrupted. It's a place to be firm but fair, two traits that being woke do not have.

Unfortunate perhaps that the first reply and show of interest to Fox's tweet announcing his political ambitions is from someone called Mos(e)ley...

Challenging norms (Majority) - Ok and the media will always commend a minority interest no matter the cost.
Fighting back from a majority position - Is regressive, bordering on extremism and racist.

I wish the guy luck, because anyone with an ounce of leadership have struggled to deal with the media personal attacks and the media creating enough hate, it can trigger some delusional types with milkshakes and suchlike. One only needs to see the reaction Trump had on the world and for so little in the way of actual actions to warrant the abuse.

Oh for the days when an anti establishment act was putting a drawing pin on teacher’s chair rather than destroying public property and knocking people to the ground because their skin is a different colour.

And the transition between the two was when corporal punishment was abolished.

All this cancel culture bollocks is like the emperors new clothes, it only has power over people if you are scared of it , if you don't care what a bunch bedwetters on twitter think of you then it can't affect you. Who is " cancelling " you but the kind of toxic people you don't need to know anyway ?

I think douglas murray pointed out that any of us with an employer is sadly locked into a contract to keep your mouth shut and head down, else.... So those without that weight of responsibility, have the added responsibility of their own to speak out as Fox has done.

I hope the Reclaim Party is Centrist so that it can attract people from across the political spectrum, and rejects the hardline dogma that occurs with the extremes of left and right. I would like to see reclaiming the word 'British' and the Union Flag from the extremists.

Nigel Farage has been defeated in something like seven General Elections - so a move to the right is unlikely to be popular. They do want common sense, and a sense of national identity that is not defined by race/religion/etc.

Yet Nigel Farage was probably the most influential politician in the last decade. Lawrence Fox and the 'Reclaim Party' will disappear without trace, the same way that Anna Soubry and Chuka whatshisname of the 'Change UK' and all the others since the SDP and the gang of 4, 40 years ago.

Farage was only so successful because of his anti EU stance. If he had just campaigned on other issues would he have been so successful? There were already members of the public and MPs who were in favour of leaving the EU or at least repatriation of powers from Brussels back to London.

When Brussels refused then the writing was on the wall.

ISTR the he (Horrocks) and some of his old staff were in that lecture hall, as Fox gave the Horrock's Brief for the cameras (I think you can momentarily spot him during the scene, around the front row of the audience). The consensus from the staff was that Fox absolutely nailed it and the performance was uncanny. Horrocks must have been some leader.

What Claire Mosley from Care 4 Calais? That is quite a coup for Lawrence
Ahhhhhgghhh! The twats that coded Twitter must have set so newest is at the top. Bastards! At the time, the apparent first response was from a "James Moseley."

I strongly suspect that he may well have been a bit wide of the mark there, all things considered.
