Liam and Dijon Joseph's lawyers are suing for discrimination and false imprisonment.

Police officers search two men seen bumping fists (equivalent of a handshake, not a Jarrod thing) in an area known for drug dealing.
Brothers sue, having previously exhausted several complaint processes:
"The brother's lawyer Carolynn Gallwey said the
IOPC had been investigating the motives of the officers who stopped them but found there was "
not enough evidence to say it was discrimination".
A statement added: "After the IOPC complaint failed we approached the
Equality & Human Rights Commission for help in bringing a case - they refused.
"We asked the
Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis [Dame Cressida Dick] to admit discrimination under the Equality Act and
they too refused.
Having exhausted all other options we have today started civil proceedings at court against the Metropolitan Police for discrimination, assault and false imprisonment."
It might just be me but if the IOPC, Equality and Human Rights Commission and Cressida Dick, all of which have form for siding against coppers, decide there's no issue maybe it was just people doing their job?
All credit to the coppers who continue to search suspicious people knowing that every search is a potentially career-ending lawsuit waiting to happen.
