Latest snowflake outrage

If you wear something that could be associated with another culture, you'll be accused of 'Cultural Appropriation' as witnessed by the sh1t storm that descended on some poor [white Caucasian] American teenager who chose to wear a Chinese style dress to her school prom.
To her credit, she did tell her critics to poke it. Good girl.

My daughter was invited to s friend 21st birthday party, it had a Cowboys and Indians theme. Very brave of the hosts as they could be open to both accusations of being sexist and cultural approbation with such a theme. She eventually went as a cowboy without complaint, whilst her best mate a Miss Patel went as an Indian squaw. An Indian masquerading as an Indian, What offence could she have caused❄

Over the years I have dealt with a few people that would have been a suitable uniform for. I was talking about normal black clothes - what if I wear a black suit and someone claims it represents authority and oppressive power? I sometimes wear a pink shirt - could I be accused of misappropriating gay culture?
Like a tie, being a barrier to communication

You are right. I think the media have a lot to answer for with regards to the current identity politics and culture wars within Western society.
It might be a case of , quick look over here at this, and ignore this. Psyops as it's called, and happens in main stream media. A classic case was the good old BBC today saying that the government will repay all extra tax that the bad government n Scotland took from them, but failing to highlight that 70% of the mao were actually better off.

From the BBC. The greatest Brits of all time.
Cromwell is at number 10. Churchill number 1.
From Cromwell we have ideas like having a professional army and people promoted on merit and not due to wealth. He was also an outstanding military commander.
Yep with us having a King again he didn't like Cromwell. So he was dug up and his remains abused. Who knew?
As he was the son of the executed Charles I he perhaps had a reason but his vindictiveness ran deeper than just Cromwell, he had nearly all the signatories on the King's death warrant hunted down and killed or executed:

A bit dry in places but an interesting read https://www.amazon.co.uk/Killers-King-Dared-Execute-Charles-ebook/dp/B00JQBTFGY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532011211&sr=8-1&keywords=Killers+of+the+King

War & Peace is coming up , that would outrage , let alone offend , the entire snowflake community .
English people dressing up as Nazis , Italians and the Viet Cong ?
Whatever next ….

I understood that Oliver didn't want Charles 1 executed. His argument being based on what history would say. seems to have got it about right?

How does this Snowflake thing work? You claim something offends you, or it may offend someone, and you get to dictate what others do and say?
In a nut shell, yes. You can even report a hate crime, as a third party. Welcome to Britain 2018.
We hope that you enjoy your stay, and trust that it will be a pleasant one. Just remember though... That big brother is watching!

Sorry. Gotta go. There's a loud and persistent banging at the front door. It's probably just some trick or treaters again.

Too, true but it can work to your advantage as well

I reported a hate crime on behalf of my missus to help alleviate a problem were where having, an it helps to be the first one to play the hate crime card. Even pikeys aren't immune to it, plod takes it a lot more seriously than mere theft of goods

Do you mean to tell me that the police took an allegation against 'do as you likeys' seriously? Wow!

They threatened me in front of witnesses, didn't get them done for that they just got a warning which means zip

What they said to my missus on the other hand was just what I wanted to hear and for me to be offended on her behalf

(from your post)

"The liberation and access officer [what?] at Manchester’s students’ union (SU), blamed a “failure to consult students” during the renovation of the SU building for the Kipling poem being painted on the wall in the first place. “We, as an exec team, believe that Kipling stands for the opposite of liberation, empowerment, and human rights - the things that we, as an SU, stand for”.

The definition of 'Irony' would appear to have been expunged from all course work at Manchestuh.
Meaning their freedom, their empowerment and their human rights. Unseen but obvious forces are at play there but I see where you're going with this. Wouldn't have anything to do with the kind of "officers" , "socialist democracy" and censorship seen in the other "SU", would it?

When it comes to seeing some lovely young things in the summer :)
Saw this really fit blond with a very short skirt and a little vest top in town the other day.
As I drove closer. she got prettier and hotter, then it dawned on me that she was in my 18yr old son's year at school, and I've known her since she was a tot.

I suddenly felt like a filthy dirty old man.

I still had to keep looking to make sure she was who I thought she was . . . just in case like

It's OK, woman can do anything, it'll never be sexist as it isn't a man instigating it

Glad the ASA never saw to find this sexist.
However if it had been 8 leery blokes doing a bit of voyeurism on a young woman undressing . . .

Paco Rabanne escapes ASA ban despite 120 complaints over ‘sexist’ ad
I remember this rediculous advert well. Even my partner commented at the time, that she believed that there would have been an almighty uproar if the situation had been reversed.
