Absolutely cultural appropriation. They'll be wanting to live in a tent on the beach next.

And the tattoos.

That’s cultural appropriation too.

In fact, next time I see a tattooed Geordie person I will tell him so in no uncertain terms.

No-one among the new ownership group was in any way offended by the attire of the fans who chose to celebrate in this way. It was a gesture that was acknowledged as positive and welcoming in its intent.

'However, there remains the possibility that dressing this way is culturally inappropriate and risks causing offence to others.

Reads to me that the Saudis didn't actually give a **** but there are people ready to be offended on their behalf.

The only way it will happen if people like myself stop paying in their £160 a year. I agree with the proposals of making it a subscription service. That is great, then you have a choice. Thing is they are well aware they cannot compete with Netflix or Amazon Prime with the shit they turn out, so all the overpaid "stars" and the executives would be down the job shop.
As I said in an earlier/later post, say nothing, respond to nothing and just don't let them in or on your property. Simple as. No power at all. Thing is the guys that work for them know this too, so are quite happy to walk away as they have ticked a box and still get paid. Easy really, by just saying go away, they have still earnt their tenner an hour. When will people wake up to it? I would be banged up for fraud in no time if I tried the same thing. BBC has been doing it for years.

If I know anything about rich Saudis, they basically smirked for a moment at the eccentric behaviour of the fat English peasants, before going back to whatever they were doing with their investment funds/online porn/smuggled contraband/Russian escorts.

If the Saudis turn up in Savile Row suits instead of Bedouin clothes will they be pulled up for being culturally inappropriate!
