Latest snowflake outrage

I'm still laughing at that GCSE textbook rant over the brazilian.
"It's straight out of a porn film!"
So therefore the complainant must have watched porn, to have a point of reference?????
It is like those people that say " yeah, he is always in the pub...." you have to be there to see him.
Bunch of fcuking hypocrites.

So what you're saying is that the salt is dissolved in the water while it is underground, but pump the water up to the surface and the water evaporates leaving the salt content lying on the topsoil.

Which is the same basic principle as an industrial salt pan, except they use sea water and scrape up the salt from the pan and sell it.
Anglesey has a whole salt industry based around it, tourists pay top dollar for what is literally just salt

If we assume 95% of Australia is totally uninhabitable you still have a population density less than 1/10 of England. To get to our population density you'd all have to live in just 25% of Victoria so you've got a long long way to go before it's really unsustainable. Remember you 'are young and free' so should embrace new ideas and people not like us old crustys in the relic of empire.
It's not quite that simple. Oz is ecologically quite fragile and water is becoming a real issue. The "mighty Murray" is a shadow of what it was in places like S Australia as it's water gets siphoned off for People and farms.
Land mass is not a problem. Loss of farmland due to droughts and the growing demands for cities on the water table is.
Had Oz the climate and average rainfall of the UK, then it wouldn't be a problem

Looks like @bob_the_bomb said it all for me , apologies

So glad I pay the BBC for this news, she probably wrote it herself. She is entitled to her 15 mintes, she has a fake name Ayesha
It's just an alternative (illiterate and phonetic) Romanisation of Aisha عائشة‎ Mo the paedo's 2nd wife, the one who was 6 or 7,or 9 when she got forced to marry him by her dad.

No worries, mate!

Oz nevertheless sits in a big ocean. Desalinate the water using solar power and I think you've got plenty of opportunity for growth at least round the coast. Alternately give it all back to the natives, send the colonials back home, I'm sure there's somewhere in Scotland we can house them all, the Outer Hebrides are getting seriously depopulated.

Really?
It's still not that simple. Desal plants require considerable power and maintenance. Solar power covers lots of land, and if you park your solar farms out in the ulu, you require considerable infrastructure to get it to site.
A far better option is listen to the bods that live in Oz , and if they say no more colonists, then so be it. They really don't need our advice on this.
That said, there's quite a way to go on low power solar installations where you run 12/24 v DC for lighting, which might well mean you can have more generated power for desal.

The desal plant in NSW is in the process of being run up due to the dam levels falling close to 60%. Wish they could have maintained the bloody thing while it was down as it may be another year before it starts producing.

Even if it was running, the problem is trying to get that water to inland, Australia where the wide open land is, is a bloody great distance away. And, in NSW at least, the other side of mountains.

As for the decrease in migration, our pollies don't give a shit about listening to us anymore. They want as many people crammed into the country as possible as the only thing they had going for them was high house prices (I bet my bottom dollar a lot of them have extensive property portfolios). They buggered up the manufacturing sector and they squandered the WA mining boom. They've shown no compunction in completely buggering up our environment in the chase for the almight dollar. Now that China has put a clamp on money leaving their country, it's seriously buggered up the Libs and their property developer mates. Most of the rest of us will be dancing in the streets if house prices drop 40%.

I'm seriously thinking its getting to the stage where the only way to get rid of these morons is to murder the lot of them.

Unfettered immigration is labour's plaything so you might want to off them first as a warning to the libs. Of course, with no opposition they may not see it as the warning it's meant to be so your murder option might kick in again, although some may see it as excising a tumour rather than murder.

Always thought a guillotine on the steps of parliament for a few random beheadings when they lose sight of the fact they work for us rather than we for them would be a good way to keep them focused, the ignorant, short attention span parasites.
