I for one really enjoyed the party political broadcast by the BNP. Not for its policies or the comedy value of amateur spokespersons but for the knowledge that the tax leaches at White City must have been spewing their Tofu into their copies of the Guardian!
    Oh such joy!

As an aside I fully expect them to make real inroads into local and European votes this time around as the electorate understand the value of protest voting!
I do not support them although it is easy to understand why they do have support, what I do support is the maturing of a political party from a bunch of thugs, a legally constituted entity which must seem like the Labour Party at the end of the 19th Century after 200 years of workers unrest.
Nice to see the establishment enjoying a bit of deja vu.

  2. I didn't get past "Please don't turn over"... sorry!

  3. With a bit of 70's type porn music to accompany the production quality they may have held my short attention span!

Nice to think of the Guardianistas choking on their muesli though!

The same subject came up this morning!

  6. I didn't see it but saw a report the other day on the beeb news. They would appear to be trying to alter their old tarnished image of an ultra right movement supported by football hooligans to a slighty left of Franco party supporting the rights of the downtrodden majority. And no doubt they will get many so called protest votes as they don their anti sleeze cloaks at the same time as blaming uncontrolled immigration for the woeful state of this once proud land. Like a contestant on Catchphrase, they are certainly capable of 'saying it like you see it'!

I for one will be protest voting next month but the BNP will not benefit from my marker. Call me Peter Paranoid from the planet Paranoia on International Big Brothers Watching You Day, but I have this vision of protest votes dished out to fascists leading to an uncontrollable upward spiral of power. 30 years from now, as I watch the cattle trucks roll through Kentistan I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I helped that along the way with a simple stroke of a pen in protest!

If those cattle trucks are full of Medways finest?

  8. The man has a point! :D

  9. Unfortunately, it would be more likely that 'Medways finest' were wearing the brown shirts whilst loading up the cattle trucks

  10. I`ve just watched their PPB online and the one which the bbc rejected. I can only think that the bbc rejected one because it had a load of old biddies in a social club, bit of a human face sort of thing which the beeb obviously didn`t want the BNP portrayed as.
The fact is that there are a few BNP councillors out there who are doing sterling work but like k13 I am always worried about the seedy underbelly which may exist out of sight (something which could in these times refer to any of the political parties).
Oddly enough I`ve just received through the letterbox half a dozen `vote for me` pamphlets from various parties, all of which went on the fire almost immediately. They promise the earth at election time but sit on their backsides reaping the benefits of their position for the rest of the time.
I will probably vote BNP as the other choices don`t add up to much, maybe time to give them a chance... but with k13s `cattle trucks` scenario in mind I`d warn them "don`t take my vote and corrupt it".

  11. How would this be so?

Surely if people are casting a protest vote they are protesting at who is in at the time? If the government of the time take no notice of the protest vote then yes this will/should lead to an upward spiral, right up until the government then change some of their policies to maybe bias this country a little more.

If the BNP do get a few MEP's it would be a good way to get them into somewhere to see if they mean what they say without actually doing any damage to this country. Also we will see if they are as incompetent as everyone is saying they are.

Dont believe all the hype, The government are much more scared of losing their trough than you are of a few BNP being elected.

  12. The lot in power at the moment didn't seem to take much notice of the last protest votes in both the General and Council elections did they? In fact their answer to those particular protests was to give us Brown! I imagine the protest vote this time will be bigger, and as said, I will be casting my own far from the big three. I just don't feel comfortable casting my vote for a party that claims to be British yet draws a lot of support from Holocaust deniers and secret admirers of a regime that both my grandfathers and several uncles fought across Europe.

  13. Its just a pity they cannot add up the whole of the "others" to actually see that we dont want them.

  14. The BNP......I'd sooner have the shinners helping run the country..........Oh wait

Whilst I totally feel and share the revulsion at such a bunch of tools running this country, I also agree that the freedoms my fathers died to protect need defending.
I feel like many others do that the current bunch of clowns are time expired and like nappies need changing for the same reason!
In 30 or 40 years time the BNP will be in the same situation that the Labour Party was in the early 1930's. Thats unless the current crop of turkeys stop voting for christmas!
