Being Orstaihlia, would that be a storage box for a 'Downhill' Gardener?

Of course not. Poofs are gay. Only gayers are poofs.

And the least said about homos the better. These days anyway, it seems.

Is the poof owned by Michael Fitzpatrick or Patrick Fitzmichael?

Is'nt 'Poof' that noise that happens when magicians pull wabbits out of hats?

Or does it mean something else :?

Like a f****** h*****?

Edit : Censored by me.

Here's a tasty little number and I'm sure it would fit right in in the new look naafi, it could become something of a mascot

Aussie poof

Im just sooooooooooooooooooo confused.
It's a POUFFE.

Noun 1. pouffe - thick cushion used as a seat
hassock, pouf, ottoman, puff
seat - furniture that is designed for sitting on; "there were not enough seats for all the guests"

just as a matter of interest, at what point does a word become 'unsavoury'? When did 'poof' stop being an onomatopoeic (sp?) word for a puff of air, when did gay stop meaning happy, when did queer stop meaning odd?? Seriously, does it just creep up or is there a point where somebody somewhere decides a word has become 'offensive'?
