  1. Hi,

I have recently bought a Samsung mobile phone and was trying to download music through the disk2phone software, but the laptop only charges the mobile phone when i connect it and does not recognise it in the E drive or something.

Some usefull advice would be greatfull,,,,,,,,,,,

    Many thanks.
  2. Check the phone display on connection, it might offer up phone or computer use that you have to select (My sony ericsson does this).
  3. /Edit DOH, as above.
  4. More info such as your laptop spec, OS version etc would be useful
  5. Are you sure you've installed the drivers first, ie loaded up the software before plugging it in?
  6. I had the same problem with a vaio laptop and samsung phone. It never got solved.

    Merry Christmas :D
  7. if it was like my phone The D900i you can go into the phone settings and change usb mode to mass storage (Or something simmilar)
this will allow your computer to detect the phone as a mass storage device allowing you to copy and past files to it as you would with a pen drive.

also this allows you to transfer files to the phone without using the software they provide
