Hi Guys does anyone know if you are allowed to take a laptop with you to basic training? And does anyone know if all the camps are Wi-Fi enabled.

Thanks

There probably wouldn't be anything to stop you, but whether you would have the time to use it would be a different matter, it would probably be advisable not to bother at least until you start phase 2

Unless things have changed drastically it wouldn't be worth taking one as you'll never have time to use it. I'm sure with your attitude you'll go far in the army too..

Thanks for your answers! cough *******
Not much point in editing your OP when the post below it has it quoted. :D

You get WiFi credits by doing well in training, ask your Section Corporal about wifi 'internets'.

I took my laptop back with me after the long weekend. Loads of time to use it, and finally some good porn! In retrospect, I could have taken it from day 1, but it wouldn't have mattered much because you get little time in the first 6 weeks or so.

Leave it at home for your fist 6 weeks - you'll have little time to use and and this way you won't get it knicked, broken, or picked on for being a geek!

Good Luck!
