Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have an interest in older Land Rovers and at present I'm playing with a 1991 90 FFR,it is one of around 27 such 90's which were modified by Ricardo Engineering for 5 Airborne Brigade in the early 1990's,this included removable rear body sides so it could be stacked on a medium stressed pallet for air dropping from a Hercules.

The stackable 90's were featured in a couple of Land Rover magazine articles in the mid 1990's.

I would be very interested to hear from anyone who remembers the stackable 90's and who could perhaps help with a few questions I have, especially about some of the mods carried out on them. Also if anyone has any pics of them in service.

Mine was 61KJ62 in service,it was with 7RHA from 1991 to 1999 then it passed to the 2nd and later 3rd Lancs.before being cast in 2007.
