Labour MP charged with Perverting Course of Justice

One thing that really, really pisses off Judges in this country is the wasting of court time. Sure , everyone is entitled to a fair trial but this bint seems to think that as an MP she is mega special and that the witness box is really just another version of the back benches where she can gob off with impunity and at great length.
Methinks Missy is in for one hell of a shock come verdict time.
Note to self-buy Butterkist shares when the markets open.
Also claims to have been suffering from stress. Of course.

Main plank of her defence is that she was terribly busy, not well, stressed out and when her brother Festus told her the NIP "was sorted", then she (as a qualified solicitor) naturally accepted that he (a touring musician) had dealt with it in a full and proper manner.

Which consisted of him stitching up a former Russian lodger of his. But she knew absolutely nothing of this. Oh no.

And Festus has of course pleaded guilty to that along with two other similar efforts in respect of his own NIP's

Well let's see what the Jury thinks....

Apart from the fact she is an MP in Peterborough and there is nothing silicone valley about the toilet of a city and there are more Eastern Europeans, Muslims and chavs from London than true bred fen dwellers about you are spot on
Thanks...having spent ten months in Cambridge I did wonder what the geographically-challenged previous poster was Wittering on about - they are only 42 miles apart after all.

Peterborough (UK Parliament constituency) - Wikipedia

Cambridge is indeed a haven of sandal-wearing beardy bicyclists (and that's just the Wimmin), more likely to return a Lib Dem than anything.

Currently held by one Daniel Zeichner, a Bennite Labour MP who scrambled into the post on his 4th attempt to enter Parliament, which shows tenacity at least. Voted for 'Anyone but Jezza' in the Labour leadership campaign.

In June 2017, Zeichner resigned as a Shadow Transport Minister, in order to vote in favour of an amendment to the government's 2017 Queen's Speech supporting the UK's membership of the single market, in defiance of the party whip. The amendment, which was defeated by 322 votes to 101, was tabled by former Shadow Cabinet Minister Chuka Umunna. In justifying his decision, Zeichner explained:

My position on Europe has always been clear. I am a passionate pro-European and a straight-forward politician ... I promised the people of Cambridge I would stick to my principles and I would do right by our city - that means voting with my conscience and doing all I can to oppose the Tories' extreme Brexit which would, in my opinion, damage our economy, our security and our society as a whole[8]

Whereas Peterborough is the sort of place where RAF nurses in uniform from the MDHU there get spat at by South Asian cabbies....

Lets not forget that the Prosecution stated that she signed the declaration of Mr Antipow's alleged speed trials.

David Jeremy QC, prosecuting, told the Old Bailey . . .

Jurors heard that the box had been ticked on the form indicating the MP was not the driver.

Mr Antipow's details were also provided, along with a telephone number, with Onasanya's name and signature filled into the corresponding boxes.
So she's either a liar or she's incompetent.

I take it her well-considered “a big boy dun it and run away” defence ploy isn’t going down too well?
It may be the only thing, apart from MS, stress and that well known most dreadful thing on earth (too many emails) her brief could come up with.

I’d give her life just for coming out with this:

"My dad used to say to me, 'If you aim for the top of the tree and miss, you come out somewhere near the top and you still come out with something. If you aim for the bottom branch and you miss, you come out with nothing.'"
Agreed, quoting something you found in a Christmas Cracker as as example of your own wisdom and profundity is fully deserving of a decent stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure, and a punch in the face.

Has the court asked her yet, how someone who used to live at her address, isn't known or related to her just happened to be driving her car that night?
With both her mobile phones and in the vicinity of a meeting she drove herself to.....

And as Guido says.... "Of the 94 new MPs elected in 2017 Onasanya is the only one on trial charged with perverting the course of justice."

But wait! She "no longer used those numbers" having previously received..... wait for iiiittttt...racist abuse and may have just sort of left them (still charged and still live of course) in the car that she allowed her brother and any of his passing uninsured Russians lodgers to use.
