Labour about to split?

Smart and sensible salamander. It is an obvious conclusion to come too. Their maybe a small number of anti semites in the party, but they do not control it. If anti semitism was your motivation the Labour Party would not be your first or even last port of call. I'd try the Tories or UKIP if that's your thing. And they aren't too keen either.
Neither the Tories nor UKIP have bent over & taken it up the arrse from a certain demographic - one that Labour has not only courted but encouraged for a couple of decades.

There's nowt as blind as a fervent socialist when confronted with incontrovertible evidence that his political faith is founded on something less real than the idols of some south sea island cargo cult.

so ruth smeeth and luciana berger haven't received personal threats from those on the far left and needed their own personal security at conference? the guardian are making it up when they report she got a message saying “You better watch your back Jewish scum.” Labour's Luciana Berger receives death threats telling her to 'watch her back'

tom watson, frank field, and others are all making it up to smear corbyn and their own party when they go on record as saying the party has a major problem with antisemitism? it's all a figment of their imagination? ruth smeeth wasn't publically attacked by a Momentum activist and accused of 'colluding with the right wing press' while Corbyn stood in the room smirking and saying nothing? Jewish Labour MP leaves Jeremy Corbyn's antisemitism event in tears
I could go on and on. is the Guardian shilling for Israel when they say there is a problem with Corbyn's labour in terms of antisemitism? is tom watson taking backhanders from mossad? or could it be that if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck and leaves duck sh1t everywhere, it is actually a duck?

yep - everyone else is mistaken and you're right. no antisemitism, nothing to see.
Plenty to see. Some of it can be seen through for what it actually is.

People are being accused of criminal acts. But nobody has been arrested, charged or convicted.

Only 673 complaints. Representing 0.1% of membership. 96 members immediately suspended. 12 expelled. 220 did not have sufficient evidence of a breach of party rules. The remainder received warnings or sanctions.

433 further complaints were received about persons who were not members of the Labour Party!!

do you think hatton being readmitted to the party is nothing to be concerned about? there is a reason militant were expunged from the party in the eighties, and momentum are the same brand of far left in a slightly different wrapper.

Go on then Smartarse. Give us the reason Hatton was expelled in the 80s?

Then I'll answer the other question.

Those 9 MPs were lost already, and highly likely to be deselected anyway. Austin is an arch Blairite, long in the tooth now and with with a majority of 22
Brownite, shurely.

Which is why I do not believe that the Labour Party is institutionally anti semitic because it is a socialist progressive party, not the Waffen SS.

But if you think I am a nazi and jew hater, then I am wasting my time answering your post. You're an adult. You've made up your mind already.

And theres why its been allowed to fester - denial - we aren't right wing therefore nobody can be anti Semitic - its legitimate criticism that gradually gets more abusive in the echo chambers and anyone pointing it outs excluded.

Anti Semitism is very much a left wing thing now - dressed up behind anti Zionism or "the Rothschilds"

Its very much my left wing friends i see sharing anti Jewish memes or condemn all Israelis for the actions of a few.

Like wise holocaust denial is more fashionable among the far left - the Jews made it up so they could genocide the Palestinians types.

You could also add the increased numbers of another demographic - which there's been a reluctance to challenge on its views of sexual equality religion and homosexuality.

Ask some of the council works who were issued with the 90 day notices.
I was working with a few of them at the time.

I dislike the PM, but she wasn't dealt this hand and I have a lot of respect for the woman as she has managed to hang onto power, whilst still steering the ship directly at the rocks of a no deal and keeping everyone guessing.
Point is, as has been pointed out before, had the Titanic hit the Iceberg head on it would probably have survived, drastic avoidance action killed it.

Yers but if you keep denying it for long enough, people forget what the issue was.

Have I?
In which case, why did I ask you?

Multiple people within the Labour Party incuding their deputy leader say there is an anti semetism problem wihin the party. They have being saying so for quite some time and completely openly.
You posted suggesting there isn't so I asked you. Not entirely sure how that suggests I've made up my mind what you think.

If Tom watson says there is an anti-semetism problem in the Labour Party then I'll take his informed opinion over yours

There's a cynical political aspect too, which is that there are votes in opposing Israel, because some Labour seats now have large populations of persons who view Israel very negatively. At the same time, the Jewish community is large enough to influence election outcomes in few seats.
Re. the issue of Palestine, it seems as fashionable as the anti-Aparthied movement once was. On Left wingers' Twitter accounts, the Palestinian flag is a common part of the account holder's Bio. Along usually with a pro-LGBT symbol and whatever else is fashionable. The real-life mutual exclusivity of living in Palestine and being LGBT is not an issue for the tweeters.
I have no idea why Palestine is such a big issue for the young Left (any ideas?). Most people are not interested.

No; by delivering a meaningful exit from the clutches of the EU.

Funny how you seem to think the ERG is both all powerful yet simultaneously weak & vulnerable.

Must be something to do with how the liberal mind works.. View attachment 379270
Eh? I consider myself a Conservative. You have fallen down the lazy-of-thinking American rabbit hole of simply claiming that anyone in the centre is a "liberal".

A strong PM can ramrod through their policies.
The most obstructive element isn't Labour, under their piss poor leadership.
It is, as ever, the Government's own back benchers.
The loudest, most obstinate element on the backbenches is the ERG, under the wannabe kingmaker Rees Mogg, who thinks Boris would make a nice sock puppet to manipulate.
So, therefore, a strong PM should have crushed the ERG.
Simples.

Only if by "Crushing" you mean sending a big chunk of backbenchers and party supporters over to UKIP and stuffing any chance of a Tory government for 20 years....
Where did you think UKIP came from?

Once the referendum was over they rallied back to the Tories who are attempting to movement leaving, even if some of the stewards are fighting over the controls on final approach.
If we fail to crash/leave the EU, then they should go back to UKIP. See them voting against a leave deal and oh? We leave without a deal.
Vote to extend article 50 or another referendum? UKIP voting to stay in? Well stranger things have happened.

I am not sure that Batten wants them back unless they want to buy into his simpleminded anti-Muslim policies.

If we DO leave, where are they going to go? Labour? Err, well not likely. Liberals? Pro EU. TIG? Awkward squad.

UKIP aren't the king over the water. They are a single issue busted flush whose reason for existence is rapidly approaching its end date, and deciding to become openly racist in lieu of a policy.

After March, when we ARE "independent", there won't even be a point to their name.

.
Exploiting that need not have slid into antisemitism though

Israel = Jews = Bankers
Palestine = Oppressed Minority
Egypt Jordan others who clamp down on Palis dont mention

Its a stick to beat Israel with - that helps justify the Mossad is behind everything Jews run the world

The left support the Pals for 2 reasons
1 Israel is Western in outlook ergo capitalist and evil - the usual conspiraloon types
2 - Palestinians are the underdogs and so good socialists support them - without realising what they are supporting - bit like sharing a Britain 1st Meme of Mr Rigby .

I have a friend who is adamant the Holocaust should never be allowed to repeat - hes always posting about the dangers of the far right - Yet he cannot see that there is no difference between the way he speaks against the Zionists uses exactly the same language as the Nazis ie control banking, engineer war etc. He really does not make the connection - its different because not Nazi

I don't know. I'm not in the Labour Party. But no one ever accused the Labour Party of being anti semitic before Corbyn gained traction.

Everybody has conveniently forgotten the Sunday Times expose of Mossad(?) agents offering money from a slush fund to discredit Corbyn.

An anti semite used to be someone who dislikes Jews. Now it is someone who Jews dislike. Express any objection to Israeli security policy towards Palestinians and you are labelled a Hitler loving anti semite by a hysterical tabloid newspaper or right wing Labour MP.

Anti semitism is not justified anywhere. But if Israel can't be criticised for its internal security policy without the critic accused of being a Nazi, one can only surmise there is a Lobbying firm behind it. Balance, nuance and truth all ignored because money and lobbying trumps them a 100 times over.

It's a modern day Zinoviev letter. And enough people either know that, or actually don't care if there are anti semites in the Labour Party.

Do you believe the Met Police are institutionally racist? I don't. I believe there are racists in the Police force. Probably no more or less than the general population.

Which is why I do not believe that the Labour Party is institutionally anti semitic because it is a socialist progressive party, not the Waffen SS.

And there you have it folks. It's all the fault of the Jooz.

because it's connected with the FOM concept espoused by the EU in respect of the Syrian refugees and hey presto it's a greater Palestine/stateless thing. Whilst the Palestinian issue has been festering 60 odd years and not two state solution we now have-in effect-a Muslim civil war. In practice most Syrians want to go home and most Palestinians want be able to swim in the med without being shot at.

Labour policy since the Boer War apparently.
"
Antisemitic conspiracy theories were promoted by figures of the anti-war Labour left during the Second Boer War, with prominent Labour leaders such as Keir Hardie asserting that Jews were part of a secretive "imperialist" cabal that promoted war.[18][19]The Independent Labour Party, Robert Blatchford's newspaper The Clarion, and the Trade Union Congress all blamed "Jewish capitalists" as "being behind the war and imperialism in general".
Antisemitism in the UK Labour Party - Wikipedia
Quite a damming article really. Still they had an enquiry and everything so probably just more Zionist propaganda.
