Knives knives must sharpen the precious knives we wants it precious but it cuts oh yes etc.

All very nice and I'm sure that the RAF Police will have great delight in confiscating any lock knife they find when you deploy/recover, or is that just Bosnia?

The fact it was bought legally in UK failed to impress them...........

Mmmmmm................next time I head to the jungle, I'll be straight on to them with my 1200 quid then.

yep, your gun, bayonet they are ok

how ever you lock knife is the most dangerous, and must be confiscated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they once had a clamp down in kandahar a couple of years ago. They had their little snow drops amnisty box. So one day from scoff we collected a load of the plastic cutlery and filled it up with those. Oh how we laughed in meriment at our little prank!

These sorts of thing just depress me:

The Destroyer is a large heavy chopper with a bolo style. When written up in Tactical Knives the destroyer recieved very favorable reviews.
'Tactical Knives' FFS? - now there's a charming little walt porno concept...

If you genuinely want a "field knife" and I do see uses for them, go here and look at the "survival knife" about halfway down. Get the carbon steel version. Does everything you'll ever need and change from a tenner.

That said I do have rather a lot of expensive sharp pointy things, it's a "big boys toys" issue.
