Killer Tortise

Charles Onegiu, a Ugandan Policeman was forced to pull his firearm and kill a large white tortoise that invaded his home and left him “traumatised and stressed”. Thankfully he is now recovering from his ordeal with the support of a local Christian group who exorcized the spirit of the dead beast by praying and burning the dead reptile to ashes.
Racist bastard.

That's what happens when we leave and give them independence. Never would of happened under us, wild tortoise? Not a chance mate, tortoises where all regulated and licenced.

If that was in Britain it would have taken 20 shots to hit the tortoise and the traumatised officer would be on sick leave and counselling for months.

Most British Peelers would be unarmed and thus easy prey for the tortoise.

Known for his (typical) agility, the officer declared that he had done his best to get out of its way, but before he could move, the creature was upon him, leaving him no options.

He's lucky it was just one tortoise. When they hunt in packs there's no getting away from them.

It's those thoroughbred racing tortoises you want to watch out for, you can't outrun one of those vicious little buggers.

What a waste burning the poor beast. Everyone knows that a killer tortoise make a tasty soup, ....allegedly.

They are notoriously fast and difficult to evade.
In fairness to Officer Onegiu he tried to fight it off with a stick and a plastic chair. If he'd had time he might have fired warning shots. Frankly I'd be surprised if he doesn't get some sort of decoration for this.

It was a barbecue that went tragically wrong.

Shot a gentle tortoise?! What the feck did he think was after him? Optimus Prime, having a bit of a giggle?!
Didn't you read the article, it was a vicious man-eating tortoise. And possibly rabid too.
