Keith Vaz Resigns...

Only as chair of the Home Select Committee so far but we live in hope.

Married MP Keith Vaz tells prostitutes he invited to flat to bring poppers

today we can reveal Keith Vaz, a married father of two, is leading a double life paying young male escorts for sex.

Mr Vaz last met two Eastern European prostitutes eight days ago, even though he is chair of a powerful parliamentary group probing vice and drugs.

And as the talk ranged from sex to pets, Mr Vaz eventually said: “We need to get this party started.”

He also spoke about having had unprotected sex. And ahead of the meeting he had sent a series of texts in which he jokingly called himself one of the men’s “pimp” and “bank manager”.

Mr Vaz paid the escorts in cash. Money was also paid into a bank account used by one of them by a man linked to a charity set up by the MP.
No wonder he was waiting lined up at Luton Airport awaiting the first arrivals from Romania the day they joined the EU.

Perversely in all this it seems there is no illegality (the drugs were not illegal) but clearly very sleazy and not conducive to that of a high profile MP and chair of a Parliamentary committee, a person often trotted out on national TV to air his views about the issues of the day.

Is Vaz Finished or can he bounce back.

Ref bold
The article also alleges he offered to pay for Coke but didn't want it himself. Is that not technically distributing.
I know if you allow people to use drugs in your home, you are liable. If you share drugs then you could be hit with supplying ( I suspect except where minors are involved - nobody really enforces that quite so literally).

Buying for someone else like wise can see you accused - but where does paying for it but never actually touching it fall.

And of course Ha Ha - can see this costing him votes.

You pay for it, you procured it, you are in possession, are you not?

You don't have to be in physical possession of something to posses it.

If I go out I still am in possession of the stuff in my house.

Take your pick:

Offering/being concerned

In addition to the supply of a controlled drug, section 4(3)(a)-(c) of the Act creates offences of offering to supply, being concerned in the supply and being concerned in the making of an offer to supply.

An offence of offering to supply can be prosecuted simply by proving the existence of an offer. The prosecution does not have to prove either that the defendant intended to produce the drugs or that the drugs were in his possession. The offer may be by words or conduct (R v Showers [1995] Crim. LR 400).

The offences of being concerned will cover conduct which is preparatory to the actual supply, although the prosecution must prove that a supply, or an offer to supply, has been made. Prosecutors must examine the actual conduct of the defendant carefully to decide which offence is the most appropriate.

Hookers and drugs? I'd imagine the stigma will wash off, he's not in office and has quickly resigned from the one high profile post he has.

Whether or not the Labour Party will still be there once it has washed off is another matter.

Vaz is a corrupt cretin and continually comes back from his fiddling and scheming. Cannot imagine why..

Home Affairs Select Committee, Mr Vaz has publicly said he was “not convinced” that men who pay for sex should face prosecution.

Within weeks of a report from the committee, he himself paid money to escorts in a flat he owns near his family home in Edgware, North West London.
I did like this bit

Is this the same Mr Vaz who has for years been sitting around telling everyone else their bad......who'd have thunk it a hypocritical Politician what is the world coming to

He is a prime example of what you get when you insist on quotas.

Nice to see the head of the Home Affairs select committee was beyond blackmail then.

I'm confused. Was he banging escorts (women) or rent boys (men)?

He was poking the starfish of young Romanian men.

I don't see the problem, he's just sticking up (for) the EU
