Nice to see the MOD PR people having a sly dig at the Hydrographic Office, who've been printing charts with Sandy island in them for years. How very team-spirited.

  8. Are these the type of charts as used by the submariners who subsequently have to complete an FMT3 ?

  9. My eye's started to ache after a while. Was the fictitious Sandy Island part of a major NATO ruse to fool Ivan into assuming secret tests were in progress or was it a wizard prank dreamt up by rogue cartographers? Or maybe they didn't bother explaining how it got there at all?

  11. Before you get all smug about the antipodeans blunder has anyone actually checked to see if the Isle of Man actually exists? Just saying... Pride before the fall

If it didn't would anyone care... except lunatics on bikes.
  14. To be fair, submariners seem to have problems with not noticing islands that ARE there, rather than getting confused by islands that are supposed to be there but aren't.
