I wanted to review this book as it promised to tell the story of morale building in the UK and the birth of Government Propaganda during the First World War. Instead I got a lot of interesting information hidden amongst sweeping generalisations, poor research, inconsistencies and nonsense, interspersed with some excellent photographs.
