  1. Hi guys and girls

I was just wondering..I want to sign up as a Combat Medical Technician but I would also like to be mounted, doing ceremonial duties and the like.

Is this possible? Or is it a case of one or the other?

    Any help is appreciated :)
  2. This could do with some rephrasing!
  3. I don't think the RAMC have had any horses in a while, plenty of people who look, dress and smell like horses ('SS' from 3 AFA being one that springs to mind)
  4. You would have to join the Household Cavalry and then train to be an RMA if they allowed you to do the course.
  5. Which is now the RCMT course.
  6. Thanks for the correction.
  7. King's Troop RHA and again train to be a medic.
  8. As far as I know, there's no specific regulation prohibiting CMTs being mounted if that's what they enjoy.

    Suggest you try http://www.proud2serve.net/

Unfortunately however there is no role specifically for 'ceremonial medics' or whatever: your best bet as mentioned above is to join a ceremonial unit and try getting on courses.
  9. St John's Ambulance? :D
