Judges in the British legal system are not normally my favourite type of people. However, it would appear that a degree of common sense is invading our courts. Just a few recent reports seem to point to the fact that some real people are now sitting in judgement on us http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/3165489/Gardener-arrested-and-taken-to-court-for-carrying-work-scythe-in-van.html Judge Paul Darlow said he deserved a public apology from the CPS. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/3158583/Couple-advised-to-be-more-careful-after-cruise-compensation-bid-fails.html Judge John Merrick said they should be more careful and accidents will happen. http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-1075610/Judge-slams-Britains-bin-laws-forced-let-serial-fly-tipper-scot-free.html Judge Michael Lawson reckons our laws are stupid, allowing this prat to go free whilst householders leaving their bin lids open get a criminal record and fines. Youâll now come up with dozens of idiotic rulings (Yooman Rites will figure prominently) but these stories show there may be some hope, after all.
