  1. Afternoon all,

I am running an AT exped in South Africa in September. It is part of my Battalion's 'normalisation' programme as we shortly return from a tour of Afghanistan. It involves a week hill-walking in the Drakensberg mountains, battlefield tours of Rourke's Drift and Ilandswana and a day on safari. The dates are 3 - 16 Dec.

There will be 10 'exercising troops' and, consequently, we require 2 x JSML (Summer). The route is prepared and simple and little will be required by way of expertise other than your presence. The cost will be £1000.

I am fully aware that it is late in the day, however the trip promises to be outstanding and we will be fully looked after by local contacts once in South Africa.

Please let me know if you are interested; both serving military and civilian instructors are welcome.

    J
