joining the military from outside the country

  1. hello all,
    i am a US citizen who wishes to join the british army. how would i go about doing this. i know as of now my best first step would be to go to the nearest uk embassy but that is an 8 hour drive from where i am so before i do that is there any other steps i should take? how hard is it to join the BA as a US citizen and what hoops will they have me jump through in order to join? any response is much appreciated.

  3. All you have to do is put on a red coat and then murder 200 million of your neighbours. The British crown would then be willing to accept your surrender!
  4. I've given it some thought and it should not be a problem. Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh is a Greek and he got in, Emperor Hirohito of Japan was a British Field Marshall even while he was at war with us. The king of Belgium and the Archduke of Luxemburg both got in.
