Joining the Army having taken anti-depressants

Not open for further replies.
I'm a 21 year old guy, about to graduate uni, and want a career as an Infantry Officer.

During uni, I've had a really hard time with everything in life going badly and I was feeling very sorry for myself at one point. I went to a doctor who prescribed me anti-depressants which I took for about 3 months and then stopped. I got prescribed them a second time and didn't bother picking up the prescription (my medical record reflects this). It was an over-zealous doctor who couldn't be arsed.

I'm doing much better, the low point was purely situational, as in this is not an ongoing issue. I'm fitter than I've ever been, healthy and about to submit my RGMD.

What I want to know is how much is this going to affect my chances. This is something I've wanted for ages and will do anything to clear this issue up. For instance, I'd be happy to have a psychiatric evaluation.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
