Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi Chaps,

I Left the Army in 1990 I am now aged 40 is it still possible for me to join back up as a regular?

And if so what is the procedure and do you go back to day one of training?

    Any help would be appreciated.
  2. My mate is 35 and fit as a 25 year old but got refused when he tried to re-join due to his age.
  3. I think you may have missed the boat mate.
  4. There isnt any may about it, out of the Army for 19 years and at age 40 there is more chance of the Army having lost your records completely than there is of you getting back in mate.

However if you have desireable skills then the TA is still an option up to the age of 43 :)
  5. is this a wah?
  6. the titanic sunk years ago  sorry mate but i think you have well and truly missed it .
