Joining as a Qualified Nurse

#1
Hi,

I am due to qualify as a Registered Nurse In January 2014.

I've submitted my application to join as a regular soldier (officer requires 2 years of experience)

At the time I assumed that the only Regiment you can join are the QARANC (Royal Army Nursing Corps).

Is this info correct?

or can you apply to RAMC too ?

If it is Registered Nurse that you want (and after all that training I would presume it is) then it is QARANC. RAMC does not have nurses.

Yes it definitely is!

I thought QA was the only corps - just wanted to make sure before my application goes to interview, cos i know for some you can choose up to 3 corps/regiments and you can choose up to 3 trades.

obviously this wouldn't apply to me in that case.

Thanks! - Just wanted to check!

ramc has had nurses for decades and trained its own too. depending on how well you did in the interview decided on whether you were commissioned or not, qaranc was mainly for the ladies.

Pretty sure AMC are paramedics, medics, doctors, microbiology, pharmacy, etc. basically all the people that nurses tend to boss around in the NHS lol :p
