Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. You most certainly can
  2. Cool, i was looking at dog handler/trainer but i see this was royal vetinary corps? Assault pioneer is top of my list, it just appeals to me and the possibility of getting engineering/carpentry qualifications is a huge bonus.

Anybody here have any experience being an assault pioneer?
  3. It's mostly field fortifications i'm led to believe
  4. Trust me, join the Royal Engineers and do it properly. You won't get any decent civvy quals out of assualt pioneer as for learning carpentry you may learn how to use a saw and that's about it.
  5. trust me dont go pioneers, it crap. i transfered out to REME, best thing i ever did. do do all the shit jobs, digging holes and cleaning up shite.
