Fantastic bank holiday gift to hurl at your mum at a barbecue!

Great for the ladies or anyone who wants to straddle or back on to the sculptured and smooth handle.

Is there a Certificate of Authenticity for the German Stick? I mean to say, it would not command the same value if, say, the wood was Austrian.

£10 to get things rolling.

In all honesty its as seen, it may even be a replica.

In the words of Kaiser Bill 'Fick Nase'
Sorry, I have to count that as a credible whoosh. Bloody TWA.

Pah!

I mock your inferior Boxheed munitions. I have several (still in their cardboard tubes) L109 grenades that I forgot to hand into the QMs prior to returning from Iraq. They are in pristine condition wi........................hang on the police are knocking at the door......

Pardon me for being a pedant, but..
I thought the handle had a metal screw cap on the bottom, that when removed revealed a string, pulled to arm the thing.

Oh, just like this one.

Maybe its an updated, more stream lined mk.

If you aren't bidding perhaps you could go and play in a bath full of brake fluid?

Oh shite - *anorak mode - ON*

The M43 type had the arming mechanism and fuse in the head, not the handle.

call yourself an anorak... your now demoted to "kagoul".... ref the grenade in the original post its a replica of the german WW1 M1915 stick grenade ..which in original form was friction igniter initiated ,this was by pulling a piece of wire which ran through the handle but instead of using a cord as in the ww2 types it was just a piece of wire and did not require a safety cap as it was held safe with a piece of adhesive tape

drawing show original spec
