Good thing? Bad thing? IS IT TRUE, as reported by the Telegraph?

Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell to quit if Labour loses next election, says shadow chancellor

Jeremy Corbyn will quit as Labour leader if he loses the next election, shadow chancellor John McDonnell has revealed.

The veteran MP said he too would resign his front bench position and ruled out standing in a leadership election, in an interview with GQ magazine.

Speaking to Tony Blair's former chief spin doctor Alastair Campbell, Mr McDonnell was asked if it was possible for Mr Corbyn to stay on as party leader if he lost a general election for the second time.

The shadow chancellor replied: "I think it is the same for my own personal position, I can't see so . . . . (Damn paywall . . . ).

Perhaps it will turn out be just an aspiration, or perhaps he will get out of it by deeming himself to win the election even if Labour get less votes than the Conservatives just like the last election

Then there is always the ice pick retirement option favored by true revolutionaries

I'd happily see McDonnell gone as he's a nasty piece of work overall but I think Comrade Corbyn should stay at the helm of Labour.

As long as he's there then they have no chance of running/ruining the country.

Maccy D will allow Grandad to quit and then will be pursuaded to agree to lead the party 'for the good of the country'

This pair of, (check not NAAFI), left wing gentleman should back an election first rather than tease the nation with this sort of gossip.

Corbyn snuck into Liverpool the other evening for a meeting amongst the faithful.

However from the comments in the local rag it appears that even for Scousers the penny is finally dropping...

You should know by now: 'They never go away, you know!' In any case, I wouldn't believe Mr 'Dodgy Dossier' if he told me the time and he was standing under the station clock.

If offered a peerage i do wonder if these scumbags would sit in the house of Lords with the rest of the parasites or would their socialist views stop them (dont hold your breath)

Many a top socialist has taken the Ermine to sit in the Lords the Kinnocks being 2, never under estimate the power of keeping your nose in the trough to derail your principles.

@RCT(V),
Mate, you can guarantee that come 13th of December, and when labour lose yet another election, JC and Old McDonnell will be 'retired'. And someone like that young, stupid, blonde, northern bint - whatever her name is, will be wheeled out as the new leader of new new 'business friendly' labour.
Who aren't socialist in any way, shape, or form. And what's even more rediculous will end up getting elected. Just like Blair and his band of 'modern' socialists did.

Hopefully they’ll take that drunken alky piece of shyt Abbot with them too

McDonnell and Corbyn "retired"? Oh, nice. Can we have it like what happens in Logan's Run? Or Blade Runner?
