It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Sigs Forum currently has a thread running on your best and worst postings, so I thought I'd pilfer the idea and do the same thing here.

What has been your worst posting in your time in the AGC and why?

Why was your best posting good?

Worst for me has to be - RRF - excellent Jnr Ranks but exceptionally bad management.

Best - got to be 39 Engrs - good lads, good bosses, work hard, play hard. (and the 1000 hrs start on a Monday was a stroke of genius!)

Best a six monther in the Falklands (Iam talking post 94) social life that doesnt cost much, six months away from the breadknife and binlids and a job that just takes the minimum to keep it ticking over.

Worst a posting to the RMP say no more.

I don't know what I have been doing wrong but I have been to some of the worst postings in the Army: :(

Hohne
Fallingbostel
Inverness
Falklands

To be fair though Hohne and the Falklands were brilliant though at the time, they just don't seem to inspire much jealousy when you tell people.

Still maybe I am off to Cyprus next year when I leave Marchwood !! :?
