Issue boots and mong shaped feet.

  1. Alright folks.

Being part of the trainer wearing generation I thought it a good idea to purchase a pair of issue boots so as to try and develop some callus and strengthen the tendons / ligaments, thus hopefully avoiding completely ruining my feet in the first week of training (plus needing suitable footwear for abit of CV training on the local hills).

The problem is I have quite wide feet / high instep, and have fair ruined my heels as I found size 10 (and then 9) mediums ill fitting.

Is there anyway to purchase half sizes and / or wide fitting issue boots commercially? Have been unable to find anything online so far.

Try size 10 (or 9) Large, which is a wider fitting.

  3. JW, is this kind of thing actually worth doing? As the OP said, I', also part of the playstation/trainer generation, and rarely now wear proper shoes. Would buying some assault boots do anything beneficial for me?
