White balloons to remember Iraq fallen
Around 150 people turned out to a special memorial event to remember the soldiers who have died in Iraq in Kirkwall on Sunday.

K**** M*****, whose 20-year-old son, S******, is serving in Iraq, organised for 101 white balloons to be released on the Kirk Green, in memory of the 101 men and women who have died while serving in the war-torn country.

    taken from www.orcadian.co.uk

It was jointly organised by the mums of the soldiers from the county currently serving and the RBL.

They also organised a very successful collection of comfort boxes at Christmas.

This level of support should be echoed through out the country

  2. Not seen anything in the London area, is this the 2006 version of yellow ribbons!
