Is the UK becoming a fascist state?

From the link:
"And because socialists deplore hierarchy and exploitation, the domination of women by men has historically been an important socialist concern."
Neither the socialists in East Germany nor those in the Soviet Union deplored the domination of women by men. They preached equality, but massively failed or refused to practice it. One exception was Margot Honecker, who was the power behind the throne.

I see the OP thinks the rampant sexism needs no explaining.

Is this men putting women down, women putting men down, gays putting straights down, straights putting gays down, something to do with non binary’s, something to do with trans?

I think the OP needs to explain...........rather than copy any paste :)

Whatever, it’s just a shame we aren’t suffering from rampant sex ;)

Fascism is an overused word..... But, in truth the whole world is becoming authoritarian, especially the liberals who have the most to lose these days.

On a scale, the UK is way down the list, thanks to our countries natural humour and common sense. True, our law has adopted some dangerous thinking of late. But that can be arrested, by the repeal of the internationalist laws and a return to common sense.

Yes, it is

1. Powerful and continuing nationalism - Obviously yes

2. Disdain for human rights - No govt commitment to uphold ECHR charter in post-brexit Britain WATCH: MP says Churchill would be 'turning in his grave' after latest Brexit statement

3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause - The judiciary: Enemies of the People (headline) - Wikipedia, remainers, the EU, immigrants etc

4. Rampant sexism - Self explanatory

5. Controlled mass media - The govt are working to abolish the BBC and C4 news which is about the only mass media in the UK that still criticises the conservative govt

6. Obsession with national security - well given the govts stated in its negotiating outlines that it will not cooperative with the EU with processes such as the EAW, it seems that it is more obsessed with persecuting windrush types and other immigrants than external threats. Indeed, given that brexit consumes everything it was noted by US officials that the UK didn't even bother with the recent Munich security conference

7. Religion and government intertwined - A big fat no here

8. Corporate power protected - Also a no with 'F*** business' and lack of consultation with business on UK-EU trade objectives. 'Tech tax' will be an interesting test of the govts ability to resist US demands

9. Labor power suppressed - stated intention of the govt to diverge on labour standards in post-brexit GB

10. Disdain for intellectual and the arts - We've had enough of experts. see also attempts to block Mary Beard from being appointed trustee of British museum for not holding political opinions agreeable to the govt Mary Beard blocked by No 10 as British Museum trustee 'for pro-Europe views'

11. Obsession with crime and punishment - See the zealous 'capital punishment supporting Home sec Patel

12. Rampant cronyism and corruption - Govt effectively glove puppets for disaster capitalists Brexit and Climate Science Denial: Johnson, Gove and Raab – all part of the Tufton Street Network – Byline Times

Isn't it just fabulous?! :-D

Really ? Where ?

2. Disdain for human rights - No govt commitment to uphold ECHR charter in post-brexit Britain WATCH: MP says Churchill would be 'turning in his grave' after latest Brexit statement
Name one example of this " disdain " ?

3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause - The judiciary: Enemies of the People (headline) - Wikipedia, remainers, the EU, immigrants etc
You forgot pikeys , the disabled , mentally retarded

4. Rampant sexism - Self explanatory
Yes , alright love , put the kettle on

5. Controlled mass media - The govt are working to abolish the BBC and C4 news which is about the only mass media in the UK that still criticises the conservative govt
The government are not working to abolish them , there is a PROPOSAL to abolish the licence fee , you utter mong

6. Obsession with national security - well given the govts stated in its negotiating outlines that it will not cooperative with the EU with processes such as the EAW, it seems that it is more obsessed with persecuting windrush types and other immigrants than external threats. There should be a comma after well and kindly explain what a windrush type is ?

7. Religion and government intertwined - A big fat no here
You're confusing the UK with Iran , a common mistake

8. Corporate power protected - Also a no with 'F*** business' and lack of consultation with business on UK-EU trade objectives. 'Tech tax' will be an interesting test of the govts ability to resist US demands

I think you mean an economic climate in which business can flourish ?
What an utterly shameful thing for a government to do

9. Labor power suppressed - stated intention of the govt to diverge on labour standards in post-brexit GB

Our employment laws are far stronger than all of the EU's , if anyone is suppressing anyone , it's Johnnie foreigner .
Presumably you have time to write this drivel because your lecturers are on strike ?

The thought of her in leather , with a cat o nine tails in her hand , commanding us to obey , is what keeps most of this site salivating .
I bet she ticks your multiracial woke box too , you closet pervert , you .

12. Rampant cronyism and corruption - Govt effectively glove puppets for disaster capitalists Brexit and Climate Science Denial: Johnson, Gove and Raab – all part of the Tufton Street Network –

If this govt are denying climate change , how come they are ahead of most Europe , let alone the world , in achieving carbon zero targets and have led the world on targets for getting rid of petrol and diesel vehicles ?

Dont forget bloody tasty uniforms.
Few silver lightning bolts on a black background, I'm anyones
I never understood why the QRL didn't wear RTR coveralls. I still had mine from 4RTR who had just disbanded, would have gone brilliantly together with the capbadge.

So that explains why I strut around the town square looking haughty, slap a few locals in the face with my leather glove before rounding them all up and having them shot.

ETA: I'm digging the monocle though, makes me look quite sinister and aloof.

I knew I’d seen the original somewhere -namely here.

Of course, the OP (or whomever the OP plagiarised this from) realised that in the context of the UK, points 4 (military funded disproportionately well) and 14 (elections are fraudulent) doesn’t sit well with the premise - our electoral fraud being overwhelmingly, but not exclusively being committed in support of the left.

There is an RN Lt Cdr who lives in my street, he has a calf length black leather coat...but I think he is more Matrix than Gestapo if the shades are anything to go by. He is something in engineering, I took great delight in asking him if me and my fishing kayak spent more time at sea than he did.

I wonder if I could get away with a safety monocle to complement my management style if I kept one eye shut?

What is this Sex thing, you allude to?

I was listening to something on R4 yesterday evening and they were discussing the Coronavirus thing.

One of the contributors said that the reason China seems to have got a grip of their end of the epidemic* is that their authoritarian regime was able to impose the kind of restrictions that would be impossible in the UK and that the Chinese citizenry are more accustomed to having to comply to authority. It was felt that there would be a great deal of resistance to and non-compliance with similar restrictive ordinances and suspension of freedoms in the liberal-minded UK of today, where individual rights have been elevated over those of society.

I believe that they are probably right.

( * Assuming, of course, that things are being fully and truthfully reported.)

The problem with that being; most millennials lack that very common sense that you mention. It seems to me, that they are ones most susceptible to fascism (despite their so-called liberal beliefs), because they do not seem to have the ability for critical thinking, and for thinking outside of the box.
Hopefully, I am totally misjudging them though...

You are judging them correctly..... They're have being taught that a right answer exists for every problem and involves colloboration.. Any collective can be subject to authoritarianism, which leads onto fascism or some left equivelent.

Well worth a read. When the fascists come for you next time they won't be wearing brownshirts and jackboots, they'll be wearing t-shirts, trainers and XR badges

the fact that the left haven't been rounded up and put into camps after a series of 3am visits by men in black leather trenchcoats
Didn't exactly that happen with Uncle Joes NCVD boys in 1937 after a brief show trial. If they hadn't had the 'nine grammes of lead' neck massage first.
