Yes, it is

1. Powerful and continuing nationalism - Obviously yes

2. Disdain for human rights - No govt commitment to uphold ECHR charter in post-brexit Britain WATCH: MP says Churchill would be 'turning in his grave' after latest Brexit statement

3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause - The judiciary: Enemies of the People (headline) - Wikipedia, remainers, the EU, immigrants etc

4. Rampant sexism - Self explanatory

5. Controlled mass media - The govt are working to abolish the BBC and C4 news which is about the only mass media in the UK that still criticises the conservative govt

6. Obsession with national security - well given the govts stated in its negotiating outlines that it will not cooperative with the EU with processes such as the EAW, it seems that it is more obsessed with persecuting windrush types and other immigrants than external threats. Indeed, given that brexit consumes everything it was noted by US officials that the UK didn't even bother with the recent Munich security conference

7. Religion and government intertwined - A big fat no here

8. Corporate power protected - Also a no with 'F*** business' and lack of consultation with business on UK-EU trade objectives. 'Tech tax' will be an interesting test of the govts ability to resist US demands

9. Labor power suppressed - stated intention of the govt to diverge on labour standards in post-brexit GB

10. Disdain for intellectual and the arts - We've had enough of experts. see also attempts to block Mary Beard from being appointed trustee of British museum for not holding political opinions agreeable to the govt Mary Beard blocked by No 10 as British Museum trustee 'for pro-Europe views'

11. Obsession with crime and punishment - See the zealous 'capital punishment supporting Home sec Patel

12. Rampant cronyism and corruption - Govt effectively glove puppets for disaster capitalists Brexit and Climate Science Denial: Johnson, Gove and Raab – all part of the Tufton Street Network – Byline Times

You make it sound like a bad thing.

I'm afraid I have to say there may come a time when a socialist/marxist/fascist state will be elected, though not for long. The people will not stand for it and those who are in favour will soon learn that we "Ordinary folk" are pushed to one side by ridiculous laws.

WI’ll you lot get rifles with proper wooden furniture and the UAS’S issued with something spiffingly heroic to learn to fly in.
if so count me in !

The OP, whether he resides in someone's sock draw or not, needs to read the work of Roger D Griffin (who used to get letters from fascist groups complimenting him on how good his work was, and that he understood them far better than most authors - he didn't, as I recall, know whether to be flattered or horrified by this fan mail). And then come back to us and modify the construct for identification of fascism. As Griffin says, the bar for defining whether someone or a government is fascist is a high (or low, dependent upon how you cut it) one and it's too easy to lob accusations of fascism around.

He suggests:

"You can be a total xenophobic racist male chauvinist bastard and still not be a fascist."

And while Griffin turned up to a seminar some 20 years ago giving the impression of the classic academic who dressed a bit like Phil Collins/Duran Duran (when wearing a linen suit as smart dress was fashionable, when being fashionable was certainly not...er... fashionable in academia), the seminar was superb and he turned out to be a thoroughly decent bloke.

The better question, I'd suggest, is whether what we now lump together under the term 'wokeness' is, in of itself, a form of puritanical authoritarianism which uses the term 'fascist' and 'populist' in a bid to suppress challenges to the increasingly anti-democratic traits in its character...

Can't figure out which sock, not BL or most of the others because they never actually post any info, just their own dribbling dross.

Is the UK becoming a Fascist State?
If only. At least if it were I would be able to get to work on time because as we all know, the fascist trains would bloody well run on time.
Damned capitalism.

Well, I'll be one of the first to volunteer for the 1st battalion Einsatzgruppen to round up the woke snowflakes and feed them screaming into the ovens of the bio mass incinerator.

I might be a heartless bastard but I don't want to get on the wrong side of Saint Greta.

Your name will also go on ze list!
