Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. To have a beer after work well it is 06.10 or am I on the slippery slope to being a paid up member of waiting outside the pub it it opens? 8)
  2. Bloody hope not, just cracked open the second tin. :D
  3. 24 hour opening means you should find somewhere until your local opens. If not grip the Landlord and ask them to open at a sensible time.

I employ a 6 o'clock rule (never before and compulsory after) to monitor my drinking habits.
  4. I hope not, just in from work myself and am looking lovingly at my vodka bottle, just have to taxi the old man to the train station then I can take said vodka bottle (and contents) to bed with me.
  5. Beer in the morning, nothing wrong with that.
  6. Yes I often like to nip to the pub at 0600 hrs for a quick snifter too.
  7. Due to the fact that I sometimes work nightshifts and finish at 07.00, I wander down to Smithfield Market for a couple of swift ones as the pubs are open from 05.00. Good drills, I say, should be more pubs willing to open earlier to cater for shift workers.
