Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. If I have just understood the Works and Pensions Minister on TV right ... one half of fromer Wooleys employees were drawing dole in January. Now only 1 in 4 of those drawing dole in january is still drawing dole ?

That would mean that 87.5% of former Wooleys employees went out and got work or an income other than dole ?

If this is the case then why is New Labour not taking note of that ? Those as want to work guessv what ? They get work.

  2. Might not be the whole story: contributions-based JSA expires after 6 months, so if you have a spouse/partner in work, you can vanish from the stats but still be jobless.

  3. No mate, it would mean that 75% 'got work'. In addition (as has already been pointed out), most people who work for Wooworths are students or married middle aged women, both of whom are unlikely to get any form of 'dole' due to their student or married status.

  4. So it's a conspiracy? A stiff missive to the MD of the Kent branch of Wellworths it is then.

Only if you know anything about the Deal bombing.

  7. Woolworths was deep cover for the Deal bombing, the ex-employees are now being offed by Kent police to cover up the story on behalf of the Glitterati.

Hence the drop in the number on the social

  8. Why is a topic about ex Woolworths employees & benefits stats even within the int cell?
