@OneTenner has MOT'd worse ?
No mate, that's an avenue of pleasure I've managed to not career down....
Although if they were all inside the vehicle, it would resemble the condition of the average motab car, it just needs a wheelchair crane on the loadbed and it's good to go.

ROE only applied to Gondor and Rohirrim regular forces. The Elves, Dwarves and Dunedain were actually PMCs, under contract to the shadowy Gandalfcorp, which in its turn was a contractor to an even more shadowy, offshore entity. As long as their operations fell within contractual scope and were compliant with the SLA, happy days. Bit of a twat for the likes of Faramir, Eomer and Theoden, of course, all of whom had to pay close attention to the Grey Card.

Truly revolting. But should be shown repeatedly.
Agree 100%, but the loony left would not allow it, as it shows what TRUE black history is all about, and that maybe mother Africa is not the Utopia we are all being told it is.
And before anyone gets all bent out of shape, I know our history is pretty bad, but at least we can admit it.

Should we ban or restrict the Lord of the Rings trilogy for portraying war criminal Gimli in a good light?

Instead of immediately rendering first aid and calling for a medic (and dust-off by a giant eagle carrying a trauma team), Gimli intends to either let an injured opponent die in agony or execute him (arguably a form of torture, as well).

Gimli: "Tell me what happened and I will ease your passing!"

Is this the kind of thing we should encourage our children to read and watch?
I mean, his overall commander later beheads a diplomat during negotiations, so clearly the values and standards are being set from the top.

But more importantly, you are ignoring the pandemic of problematic issues in famous children's stories:
  • How was Babe the Pig awarded a prize for appropriating sheepdog culture?
  • Is the Snowman a coded symbol promoting white supremacy?
  • Why didn't the hunter give Bambi a trigger warning before shooting his mother?
  • Was Pinocchio dog-whistling anti-Semitic tropes when making his nose longer by lying?
  • Why is Eeyore stigmatised for apparent mental health issues?
  • Why didn't the Tiger come for Tiffin instead of validating the capitalist colonialist extraction of resources from the global south?
  • Is the Princess and the Pea a racist slur on Meghan Markle's alleged oversensitivity?
  • Why is it not The Lion Queen, or even better, The Gender-Neutral Lion Head of State?
  • If Mowgli was uncertain of their identity, why weren't they referred to a gender clinic?
  • Did the patriarchy drive Cruella deVille to murder dalmations? (Ed: they've done this one)
Don't even get me started on the discriminatory depictions of Wiccans and non-conforming denominational womxn across basically every children's story ever. Makes you wonder what English departments have even been doing for the past century.

PS I'm sure there will be doubters who defend their privilege by saying all this no longer happens today, to which I'll say I watched the latest Marvel series recently which charts how a character turns from a 50's housewife into a role-model of Wiccan female power.

What do they call her? Scarlet Witch.

AND YOU SAY PERIOD SHAMING IS NOT A THING!?

All worthy matters that I think demand attention from our legislators and urgent action to correct the injustices described.

However, there are, perhaps, some issues that are better resolved early on in the process to mitigate any nugatory debate further upstream and to avoid clouding the waters sufficiently to cast doubt upon the validity of your case.

  • How was Babe the Pig awarded a prize for appropriating sheepdog culture?
Is there a legitimate defence of Stockholm Syndrome? Or could Babe be seen in the role of Kapo, just trying to delay the inevitable transformation to crispy bacon?
  • Is the Snowman a coded symbol promoting white supremacy?
I can see no valid defence here. The film adaption even introduces Father Christmas, a notorious abuser of other elves in his Polar sweatshop, not to mention reindeer enslavement.
  • Why didn't the hunter give Bambi a trigger warning before shooting his mother?
In the interests of fairness, it should be pointed out that the hunter did give Bambi's mother a trigger warning. However, it could be argued that it was a mere legal technicality as the trigger was instrumental in firing the bullet that killed her.
  • Was Pinocchio dog-whistling anti-Semitic tropes when making his nose longer by lying?
A most perspicacious observation.
  • Why is Eeyore stigmatised for apparent mental health issues?
Why, indeed.
  • Why didn't the Tiger come for Tiffin instead of validating the capitalist colonialist extraction of resources from the global south?
Sources indicate that the Tiger was, in fact, trying to garner support amongst the authorities for a ban on tiger hunting.
  • Is the Princess and the Pea a racist slur on Meghan Markle's alleged oversensitivity?
Indubitably. However, its subtext is the coarseness and insensitivity of the lower classes, and the implications of royalty being a matter of better genetics.
  • Why is it not The Lion Queen, or even better, The Gender-Neutral Lion Head of State?
A just question. We should also question the means by which the lion assumed such a position of authority. Should the position rotate between species? What are the regulations for self-identifying as something other than one's birth species?
  • If Mowgli was uncertain of their identity, why weren't they referred to a gender clinic?
Perhaps species clinic in this instance, or a more general identity service?
  • Did the patriarchy drive Cruella deVille to murder dalmations? (Ed: they've done this one)
Problematic, as it removes agency from a strong and domineering female character. Perhaps a hint of child abuse and being made to dress up as a dalmatian to cater for "uncles" with certain tastes?

I fear to think what else further research might uncover.

Post battle the Gondor legal service, amended the grey card to white with the Gandalf caveat.
It stipulates
on defensive operations against any unkempt aggressors, if the aggressors are taking no prisoners assaulting your position, then no prisoners shall be spared in return.

Glad to see this being given the attention and consideration it deserves. The rest of you who haven't liked or excellented my post, your names have been taken. As for those who found it "funny", your employers have been emailed and your addresses will shortly appear online.

Comrade @Sarastro does indeed raise some valid points, but I fear that he is applying a sentimental reactionary-regressive lens to the issues he identifies.

In re Middle Earth, it is quite clear that sickening reactionary propaganda has systematically misrepresented the conflict between the diverse and progressive mobilised proletariat, the workers, peasants and informed intellectuals, of Mordor, under the wise and benevolent guidance of Comrade Sauron and the imperialist-revanchist fascist aristocratic and feudal 'West', with its sinister, rootless internationalist Elvish backers maintaing their malevolent presence from the shadows.

Compare the two. On the one hand, a typical Gondorian or Rohirrim peasant is born a peasant, lives a peasant and dies a peasant and remains the wholly owned property of effete plate-clad aristocrats such as Dol Amroth, or, arguably worse, of a semi-literate horse herding tribal chieftain. No hope of progression, no hope of education, no hope of full participation in public life.

On the other hand, an Uruk-hai, an Olog-hai, a man of far Harad, even one of the (so-called) Corsairs of Umbar, showing the characteristics necessary to build a truly fair and socialist society, has no limits put on his - or her - progression.

Vile objectification and prejudice shown towards the sturdy peasantry of Moria and Minas Morgul, towards the hugely ambitious engineers of the Isengard Social Revolution - it is quite clear that the 'West' seeks to break apart common class interests and stimulate racist and abusive ethnic conflict in order to distract the greater proletariat from the key struggle - against, as noted above, the Elvish circles, whose vile designs may be seen by anone in the notorious Protocols of the Elders of Eldar.

See "The Last Ringbearer" by Kirill Eskov.

Eskov_Last_Ringbearer_cover.jpg

Eskov bases his novel on the premise that the Tolkien account is a "history written by the victors". Eskov's version of the story describes Mordor as a peaceful constitutional monarchy on the verge of an industrial revolution, that poses a threat to the war-mongering and imperialistic faction represented by Gandalf (whose attitude has been described by Saruman as "crafting the Final Solution to the Mordorian problem") and the racist elves.

Yes, seen - Es'kov, though, is equally a revisionist and a reactionary, choosing to represent the Popular Democratic Union of Socialist Republics - Mordor, Rhun, Umbar, Harad and the others - as fairy-tale 'good' aristocratic monarchies, denying the objective truth that the creative, progressive and intellectual steel of progress was formed in the forge of revolutionary ardour, kindled by Comrade Sauron and the vanguard Nazgul Party.

Just another capitalist, revanchist fantasy. Note in particular the way Es'kov downplays the objectively evil cosmopolitant influence of the Eldar and their foreign, overseas-based puppet masters.

ISTR something about Hobbits being somewhere on the evolutionary line between wolverines and Italians, and them greedily lighting the "fireworks" they found in a box marked with the Elf Runes "Army Surplus".
