Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What is Bush waiting for, if he doesn't pull out now, this is only the beginning of what is to come.

There have been 885 coalition deaths, 776 Americans, 59 Britons, six Bulgarians, one Dane, one Dutch, one Estonian, 17 Italians, four Poles, one Salvadoran, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and six Ukrainians, in the war as of May 12, 2004. Is it time to pull out of Iraq?

You forgot the other option : No, we should stay put and it was an (extremely) bad idea!

  3. Unfortunately whether it was right or wrong is now immaterial. I believe it was right to kick out Saddam but we didn't need the boll*cks aboubt WMDs, the guy was nutty as a fruit cake and deserved the boot, should have been done the first time around.

Whatever, the fact is that the people of Iraq will be dependent on us and the Americans for their security until they become strong enough to take it on themselves. If we were to pull out it would be like another Afganistan after the Russians pulled out. Unfortunately it is too close to Turkey, Jordan and particularly Israel to allow that.
