Iran

Apparently there’s been a bit of a bang over there!

Somewhat doubt its a nuke explosion from the title
Or from the fact that the individuals loading it onto YouTube appear to be still alive...

There's a rumour going round on French & Israeli news sites that Shiraz has suffered a major power outage, with hints that something may have gone bang at a power plant there, which is prompting rumours of the Israelis launching a cyber attack on the Iranian power grid. It'll give Rebecca Long Bailey something to tweet about tomorrow if it is...

Jerusalem Post reporting the explosion but no further info as yet.

There's too much of a "nothing to see here" vibe going on

Jerusalem Post update seems to account for the two separate locations so far but early days.
Explosion reported near Tehran as Iraqi forces invade Iran backed militia
Videos and pictures posted on social media that were picked up by local news outlets showed a possible explosion with a bright orange flash followed by a large plume of smoke.
By TZVI JOFFRE, REUTERS
JUNE 26, 2020 02:29

The Iranian ISNA news agency reported that the explosion was related to a natural gas tank in the area and not related to military installations.

Meanwhile, Iraqi security forces raided a headquarters belonging to a powerful Iran-backed militia south of Baghdad late on Thursday, seized rockets and detained three commanders of the group at the site, two Iraqi government officials said.

The officials said the militia group targeted was the Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah, which US officials have accused of firing rockets at bases hosting US troops and other facilities in Iraq.

Iraq's new prime minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, has indicated he will be tough on militia groups which target US installations. The raid, which took place after midnight, is the first sign Kadhimi will follow through on his tough talk.

Seems to be becoming a regular occurrence.

'A huge explosion was reported in northern Tehran Tuesday, the official ISNA news agency reported.

'Video posted on social media showed a large plume of smoke rising from a building in the Iranian capital. A spokesperson for Tehran’s fire and rescue service said firefighters were battling a blaze in a medical center. Another official said three people were injured in the blaze. The cause of the explosion remains unknown.'

E2A: Update. Apparently an 'industrial problem' rather than an overt attack.

'Iranian media reported Tuesday evening that an explosion from a gas leak in a medical clinic in northern Tehran had killed 13 people and injured several others.

'The ensuing fire broke out at Sina Athar Medical Center in Iran’s capital and state TV said firefighters were battling the blaze.'

Were Israeli Air Force F-15s seen leaving the area at a high rate of knots just before these explosions?

Just saying, like!.

Coincidence, opportunism, false flag or International dissent?

'Days after a mysterious late-night explosion at a missile production site outside Tehran, another blast and a blaze on Thursday struck what appears to be a centrifuge production plant at Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment facility.

'The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran sought to downplay the fire, calling it an “incident” that only affected an under-construction “industrial shed,” spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said. However, he and Iran’s nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi rushed to the scene of the fire at the high-security underground enrichment facility.

'A photograph later released by the atomic energy agency showed a brick building with scorch marks and its roof apparently destroyed. It wasn’t clear if that was the “shed” to which Mr Kamalvandi referred. Debris on the ground and a door that looked blown off its hinges suggested an explosion accompanied the blaze. Although Iranian officials have downplayed the event, it wouldn’t be the first time the site – one of the locations visited by international weapons inspectors – would be the target of sabotage.

'Before the fire was reported, journalists at BBC Persian say they received a tip-off from a group calling themselves the Cheetahs of the Homeland claiming responsibility for an “operation” targeting “newly established” production facilities at the nuclear site. They said they targeted above ground buildings so the attack would be undeniable. The group, which claims to be dissident members of Iran’s security forces, has never been heard of before by Iran experts and the BBC said it could not authenticate the claim.'
