Iran

“The story is not Trump, nor even Israel. The story is Iran - the growing dread that a new U.S. administration will go back to the nuclear deal which threatens the very existence of the Gulf countries,” Tzachi Hanegbi, who sits in Netanyahu’s security cabinet, told Tel Aviv radio station 102 FM.
....and Besides it'll be Biden who cops the fall out.

Another piece of the Hair Fuhrer's legacy. Whether done independently by Netanyahu, at the behest of Trump, or by the USA, it's a hand grenade thrown as the Trump administration exits stage left with a shrug of the shoulders and a 'no longer my problem: suck it up Joe'.

Anyhow their navy seems to have either A converted merchant ship or it’s one of their LPD kitted out as the title states ‚„ Floating arms bazaar‘

The 412 helo on deck is remnants from the old Shah days, AgustaBell built under license. There’s an array of mobile Land based SSM and coastal artillery plus UAVs, and their favourite speedboats.

Nothing like a nice target for an AGM-88 Harpoon...

cheers
How the hell did they get the plans for the new Type 32? And I am sure that is an RN iPod in the foreground. Bastards.

A certain small coastal near east country has long standing form for "disposing of" such people. Germans working for the Egyptians in the 60s helping them to develop weapons were given the good news. Later a certain Syrian general in charge of the syrian nuclear programme died of lead poisoning, cal 338 Lapua Mag I think.

The Iranians offed Gerald Bull after he got involved in trying to give Saddam a bit of a boost on his artillery projects, so the Mossad does have some competition.

Would have been seen as a two for one bargain, oi vey.

Don't forget, Iran and Iraq each sponsored the other's respective disgruntled expats - Saddam had the MEK, the Ayatollahs had the Badr Corps - to do various dirty work and random thuggery at home, cross-border, and possibly further afield.

Oh, and one further thought; the rumours that Bibi met MBS in KSA last week. Now, what is absolutely the one and only thing that Israel and Saudi have in common? A dislike of Persians with big, noisy fireworks to annoy the neighbours.

Obama’s release of billions of dollars to Iran emboldened them, and pumped funds into their defiance and funding of proxy terrorism in the ME.

As part of the deal Obama released about 140 billion dollars to Iran. How much of that went to improving conditions for its citizen. Judging by their recent protest, not much it seems. Speeding up their nuclear weapons program, and money for their terrorist proxies abroad a more likely scenario.

"The Trump administration has left Iran weaker than at any time in recent memory. The sanctions alone would have been harsh enough, but they formed part of a broader ‘maximum pressure’ strategy.
The question that is troubling the region today is simple: What will Biden do? As the heir to Obama, he is bound to resuscitate his signature JCPOA nuclear deal, which Trump tore up so gratuitously.
There are fears that if Biden makes good on his promise to reopen Obama's deal, the flood of fresh cash could give Iranian adventurism another unwelcome boost."

You're assuming Mossad doesn't beat them to it.

Errm, I mean you're assuming Mossad doesn't not beat them to it, 'cos Mossad would never do anything like that. No. Certainly not.

What Biden will or will not do is to be seen. I think though we can be sure that whatever he (or anyone else for that matter) does, those who wield power in Iran will continue on their path of aggression and conflict and acquisition of nuclear weapons.

It is in their DNA, they would see overtures and accord from anyone else as victory over weak fools to be exploited for furthering nefarious aims with care for the local population not even on the agenda.

If Donald Trump has got one thing right it is understanding this and that sometime, somehow this will all come to a boil.

The CCP, NK, Iran, and a few others do need to be confronted.

Negotiation with them has been tried by various administrations and these have not gone as well as hoped.

On the obverse, confrontation has at least helped check their more serious ventures.

Quasem Soleimani was involved in the direction of Quds...and operations against US military forces that resulted in casualties, and, became one. It was a direct confrontation and, not before time.

A bit like all the fall out left for Trump when he entered, extra judicial killing on an unprecedented stage by the largest drone force ever built from the man with the Nobel Peace Prize.

One of the strangest verses in the Pentateuch is the last prophecy of Balaam:
"Alas! Who will survive when God does this? Warships will come from Kittim (Crete) to destroy Eber (Iran) and Assyria (Iraq), and they too will be annihilated!" (Numbers 24:24).

Trump, a big Bible believer, knows all the End Time apocalyptic verses, and he may decide to literally go out with a BANG!
