Problem is, Iran is going to do something soon. They are being strangled over their nuclear program...but, are simply not going to give it up.

The agreement was simply a postponement anyway, and one they were in all likelihood cheating on.

Whether the non Islamic world wants to acknowledge it or not, it is a religious war, with a very clear goal set, and clearly stated.

HNS Montrose escorting. Appears the 5 light craft of the IRGC didn't spot it.

US surveillance overhead too. What sort of traffic volumes are we talking through the Straights? Capacity to escort every UK marked vessel?

As an aside, the failure in the bravado department of the IRGC when the Montrose comes about and points a 4.5" gun at close range would have been something worth watching.

They come out and play when ever anything goes through the SOH.

Buzzing things is not new they do it to show they are there and show face.

No one points anything at them, nevermind a 4.5 inch gun, they might fire a Flare to show we know they are there but we are there to stop things escalating.

From BBC: On Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani mocked the UK, calling it "scared" and "hopeless" for using Royal Navy warships to shadow a British tanker in the Gulf.

I would suggest Montrose telling them to feck off or get smashed quite the opposite.
