Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Probably being a bit dense here (it's been a long day!) - how do you enter the site - nothing to click on?
  2. er scroll down to " Enter site " ...

  3. Thanks WW. Obviously a browser problem my end - not an "Enter Site" in sight!

  6. Layout is cumbersome but there is some good information when you drill down a bit.
  7. strange but true fact
NOwhere in the U.K. is there a definitive plan of /for all the pillboxes built between WW1 and the present.
Most are not even on Ordnance survey maps, but then again neither are most RAF Bases(work that out)
  8. very interesting site,, just spent an hour reading,,
  9. There were a series of Ack Ack Towers built in the Thames Estuary to try and pick of planes using this route. these towers were used at one time for the Commercial Radio Stations
