Interesting article from the Graun

Not so.

Much as I gag, retch, punch myself in the face and burst in to tears at saying this...... the RT article is broadly correct. And no l don't fancy Putin.

The death rate isn't now, and likely won be, dramatically different from a bad flu year.

I've seen articles on about page 17 of the Times or the Torygraph o slow news days in the past where some government scientific bod has been wittering on about the severe winter we've just had has led to an extra 25,000 or so deaths than could have been normally been expected.

Same goes for the 2003 heatwave. That killed tens of thousands in Europe.

Has anybody actually bothered to read the article? It isn't written by a Graun journalist - it's a series of interviews with the various NHS staff who look after Covid sufferers on their way from ambulance to (hopefully) cure.

The Orange Bad Man had it; he was ill - a bit - for a few days then back to work, nose to the grindstone.

A couple of members from our running club had it, they're back running full-on.

Anything published in the Guardian is filtered through the prism of lef-wing-anti-Brexit-bias and therefore should be treated with caution.

Just as anything published in the Telegraph is filtered through the prism of right wing bias and should be treated with equal caution. It's possible to read an article while bearing this in mind.

Telegraph, Express, and even The Mail nowadays after the change of Editor, are either Centrist or just Right of Centre.

The Guardian and Mirror, for example - are further from the centre to the left by comparison.

It seems that in the MSM nowadays Hard Left, Socialist, Marxist is Centrist and anything slight to the right is Nazi Propaganda.

Surely the correct opinion is that the Guardian and the Mirror are Red Tory newspapers, the Telegraph, Express and the Mail are XRW
