  1. How's a going lads, first of all apologies if this has been asked before.

    I'm from Cork in Ireland and I'm starting phase 1 in Catterick in January. I know I will be insured with the army in England but I have a question;
    Will I still be insured for when I'm visiting family back in Ireland? Or will I have to take out travel insurance?

    Much appreciated.

  2. your insured all the time i think while you are serving but i would suggest like many of my mates do get your own indipendent life insurance then if any thing happens to you your next to king gets double bubble :D

  3. Within your first week at training you'll have an insurance brief from a few different companies. Most went with Forces Financial when I did this, and depending on the level of insurance you get, but with my insurance I got with them, I'm insured every where I go whether it with the military or on civvy street.

    Reminded me, I still need to get on to the feckers for charging me twice every month.
