    Do you think Lad’s Army was too easy? Do you think you could do better?

    The award-winning makers of 'Faking It' and 'Scrapheap Challenge' are producing a new prime-time TV programme for Channel 4 called ‘Heroes in Training'.
    We will take two groups of men and put them through three weeks of tough military-style training. We are looking for ex-forces Instructors to take on the challenge of instructing our recruits and getting them through the hardest 3 weeks of their lives.
    Instructors:
    You should be very experienced at designing training courses including elements of problem-solving, personal development, confidence-building, navigation, survival and PT.
    You should be extremely fit so that you can demonstrate and look inspirational.
    You need to be a superb motivator.
    You also need to be available for filming in October this year (there is a financial renumeration package).

    Instructor: Armourer- Hampshire
    Our client has a vacancy for an armourer to instruct students in small arms general principles including, repair, test, adjust and modify small arms, machine guns, ancillary stores and instruments to standards laid down in military and civilian regulations. You will preferably have military experience. You will also require good customer facing skills. It is desirable that you are a Class 1 Armourer, experience of working with current military weapons to inspect, test and classification of: small arms, machine guns, ancillaries (bayonets, blank firing attachments, cleaning kits etc.), instruments (compasses, sights, binoculars etc.) You will have basic computer literacy, the ability to operate as an individual within a close team. Self motivation skills and flexibility to adapt to a constant change of priorities. This is a permanent position based in Hampshire. The salary range for this position is c. £20k depending on experience. The role is based on a 37 hour working week, half day working on Wednesday. Benefits offered include a Pension Scheme, Sharesave Scheme, paid holidays and the use of good sports facilities.

    Instructor: Gunfitter-Hampshire
    Our client requires a gunfitter to instruct students in armament general principles and main equipments including: AS90, CR2 and Light Gun and associated miscellaneous mechanical skills i.e. cranes, hydraulics. Preferably you will have military experience, you will also require good customer facing skills. You will desirably be a Class 1 Gun Fitter and have experience of working with current military guns above 30mm. You will have basic computer literacy, the ability to operate as an individual within a close team and be self motivated and flexible in order to adapt to a constant change of priorities.     Outdoor Education Instructors Required
    Two exciting instructor posts are available to work in an established, small and friendly Outdoor Education Centre within Orkney (West Mainland). The applicants will need to be mature, experienced, organised, self motivated, creative and must have proven experience of working with Primary and Secondary pupils. An experience of teaching a wide range of Outdoor and Educational activities, and a good understanding of Environmental Science is essential.
    Both posts will start Mid April until the end of June and resume work from Mid August until Mid September (Additional work offered during July and August will be offered and paid on a Freelance basis). The salary will be from £250.00 per week (41.5 Hours) during the contract periods stated. Accommodation, staff training and uniform during the contract periods stated is included.

    M.L.T.B. Single Pitch Award - B.C.U. Level 2 or 3 Coach (Canoe & Sea Kayak)
    G.N.A.S. Archery Leader Award - A valid First Aid Certificate (2 Day H.S.E.)
    Clean Full Driving License inc. D1 Status - B.E.L.A. Award - W.G.L.A. or Summer M.L. Award
    Additional experience in the following activities would be an advantage :
    Orienteering - Kite Flying - Raft Building - Overnight Expeditioning - Teaching Environmental Science
