Instructor, Bordon, up to 23K


Armoured Vehicle Instructor required to work a market leader!
My client is seeking an Armoured Vehicle Instructor to be based in Bordon, Hampshire to provide training on the mechanical maintenance of the armoured vehicles. This will include removal of major assemblies (such as power pack, gear boxes, auxiliary engines etc). You will also be required to work on inspection, repair and maintenance of the components and sub assemblies.  Vehicles that you will be responsible for will include AFV 430, Warrior, Challenger, AS90, CET, MLRS and Shielder.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- Workshop and Classroom instruction - Duties, ancillary to instruction such as examining and invigilating tests, preparation of lesson plans, class work and practical work in accordance with approved syllabi- Preparation and maintenance of teaching aids- Advising and assisting in compiling and amending technical publications
- Ensuring classroom/workplace discipline, encouraging and reporting the development of each student- Instilling safe engineering practices including the correct use of all equipment
- Controlling and supervising trainees
- Reporting any student who is absent
- Updating course reports and records of training.
- Preparation of lesson plans, lectures, class work and practical work
- Controlling and managing students

Candidates should hols an appropriate engineering background in armoured/tracked vehicles. It is not essential to hold Instructional track record as training is provided.
Ideally hold City & Guilds Part 3, BTEC or NVQ or equivalent. Or have a military background such a retired Senior Rank or similar.
Communication skills are essential and be a good team player.
You will hold a track record within this role or similar.

Candidates will be required to hold or be able to undergo Security Clearance and hold a UK Driving Licence.
