Instructor Badges Question

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What is the correct placement of the crossed flags for a SSgt RSI/Adv Sig (Sys) on the woolly pully and No 1/No 2 Dress jackets?
Is it above the stripes and below the crown or superimposed on the stripes. I have seen both and was wondering which is the correct version or does it vary from corps to corps?

    Many thanks.

  2. In my Corps we would put it superimposed on the stripes.
  3. Ours go above the stripes and below the crown
  4. It depends on you Regiment/Corp. Your particular Arm should have a policy directive on the wearing of qualification badges. I'm sure a generic policy is available army wide but this does not always work as a number of Corps wear a specific corp related badge above their stripes e.g. R Signals, RE and RA. If you have'nt got a corp related badge above your stripes the crossed flags is generally worn there.
