  1. Sorry if this is on the wrong forum.

Could you tell me what injections are required to join the TA?

I believe one of them is for Meningitis? Is that correct?

    Thanks a lot
  2. Who told you that?

You need Rabies, Hep A and B, Typhoid, Polio, Yellow Fever and Tetanus at least. These save the Army money when they deploy you to far flung 'hot spots'. they will also protect you from your comrades and the high quality training establishments you will visit.
  3. Robcaduk - depends on your unit. A recent note has come out that you must have an up to date meningococal meningitis jag before you go away anywhere.

This can either be arranged by the MO of your unit (if you have one) or it can be arranged via your GP and the money reclaimed from the TA.
  4. An internet forum is not the place to ask for medical advice. When you go for your TA medical ask the Doctor.
