Children have been banned from leaving the house without an adult in one Indian city after another youngster was mauled to death by stray dogs.
Reena, a 10-year-old girl from Sitapur, in northern Uttar Pradesh province, was killed on Sunday as she played with her friends in a mango grove.
She is the thirteenth child to be killed in such an attack in the same city since November last year, and the seventh to die this month
Separation of judiciary and government? I wonder where you got that from?
And just to make the point that your government has influence over the judiciary:
"a judge is appointed to the Supreme Court and the High Courts by the President of India from a list of names recommended by the collegium"
"The President is indirectly elected by an electoral college comprising the Parliament of India (both houses) and the Legislative Assemblies of each of India's states and territories, who themselves are all directly elected."
So, the President has influence over which judges get chosen. Parliament has influence over who is the President.
This is fairly normal to be fair, and most people accept that government has some influence even over an independent judiciary. This is separate from the judiciary being under political control.
However, a much bigger problem for India is corruption. There is no point having an independent judiciary if it is corrupt.
.......it's like Russian criminal activity and war crimes - again and again and again - Russia and warcrimes, India and rape, Death Valley and heat....... same old same old
You get to the point that the valiant defenders of India and the Glorious Soviet union aren't listening to any facts, don't want to listen and are happy in their fantasy worlds - why put yourself out to educate the unwilling and uncomprehending?
