India’s Vikram Lander Crashed into the Moon

Despite all the piss taking, I personally think it was a good effort - got it almost right - just like the Israeli's failed a couple of months ago with their moon mission.

SRO has provided an update on its failed attempt to place Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram lander and Pragyan rover on the moon: Full link

ISRO stressed that the Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter continues to circle the moon and is expected to return a wealth of scientific data:

Chandrayaan-2 mission was a highly complex mission, which represented a significant technological leap compared to the previous missions of ISRO, which brought together an Orbiter, Lander and Rover to explore the unexplored south pole of the Moon.
So, everything functioned excellently despite the death dive from one and a quarter miles up so there is no reason to cease the funding.

Like going off a cliff; it's not the fall, it's the stop that often proves fatal.

The thing is that as you are an American you will have missed a lot of info about the moon.
If you had been in the UK longer you would know that that those failures were either down to the clangers or the soup dragon.

You mean it's not made of green cheese?

Not to worry, there are still some things where India is still the centre of excellence; one of them being IVF research.

Well they seem to have got India's well known fertility and underpopulation problem licked. However, they need to do some work on gender specification - twin girls - A blight on any self respecting Indian parents. However, by the time they reach the ages of four or five, the twins will be well placed to act as full-time carers for their geriateric parents.

Mate if it's three hours of watching this or three hours of xhamster, who wins?

The link I created starts the video 5 minutes before it goes wrong. 5 minutes. Open both windows at the same time and you'll be ready to watch the moonlanding go awry with time to spare.

They should have enlisted the help of the Top Gear team...

I think they've released the CV of the bloke who designed the Lunar Crasher. This is from his LinkedIn profile.

...............or the moon NAZI.s mining Helium 3

Aside:- On the closed radio circuit from Apollo 11 to earth control, Armstrong was heard to say" They're watching us" alluding to beings standing on the rim of the crater.

Really?
The technology and science has been waiting there for India and Israeli intelligence to steal it
