Independant AFPRB Chairman Sacked

Sacking of the Independent Chairman of the AFPRB

From Linked-In:

"Prof Alasdair Smith is not having his contract extended as chairman of the AFPRB. He was willing to serve another three years. An eminent economist with prior experience of other pay review bodies. The AFPRB report just released apparently contains unpalatable recommendations to ministers. If the government has counter arguments to those recommendations it should make them known. The apparent sacking of the independent chairman is hardly the honourable solution, nor is it in the interests of Servicemen , whom Prof Smith represents on such matters."

I didn't see anything too contentious in the report - did anyone else?

Contract ending and sacked are very different things.
