Increased Racism on the Site

When going out for a meal everyone knows that it is not "We are going to the chinkies" it is "we are going to the far eastern eating emporium"

When a poster's sole output is intended to share a hatred of an entire group and promote a narrative that an entire group of people are a physical threat to our society and where that person is neither interested in or capable of debating in good faith, then it can be reasonably understood that the interlocutor is only interested in promoting hatred and division.

Just because something is not illegal does not mean that we have to tolerate it. The fact that RGJ regularly gets sanctioned just goes to show that his conduct here is not welcome. My issue is that his continued contributions here take the forum out of the realms of the mainstream and into the part of the internet where cranks can move around relatively safely without being challenged.

The correct response to deeply distasteful content is not to ignore it and the person who published it because you (we) might as well condone it for all the use that'll do.

Intolerance towards harmful behaviour is a virtue.
Not welcomed by you perhaps, other people may agree with him.
Or should the site just ban who ever you say should be banned?

I take it you want him banned from ARRSE

What about the disabled? I’d hate to be left out.
I would have started an anti disabled thread, but then realised it wouldn't have the legs.

You care enough to comment...

I'm not really sure how challenging his bigotry somehow means I'm impervious to reason. Does challenging bigotry bother you?

You don't like me criticising him? You know what to do.
I'm not caring about anything and nor do I give one whether you criticise him or have his children. I'm on an internet discussion board having a discussion about the right to post b0llocks and, when it comes to the world of Islamic-related b0llocks, you are widely acknowledged by the rest of us to be the Yin to RGJ's Yang.

Unfortunately, chap, your righteous indignation has caused you to write complete bollox: your last sentence makes no sense.
It makes complete sense. If you saw a thread from someone saying that they fancied kids and that the treatment of paedophiles in the UK was discriminatory would you ignore it & put the author on ignore? Or would you do your damndest to make sure that the author was binned sharpish & not allowed to hang around and taunt everyone else on the forum as someone who condones those beliefs?

Has anybody yet asked why DFID is donating £500m to fight covid overseas? Pretty sure that money would be better spent here.

Your oft quoted vague mantra 'harmful behaviour'.
Please explain your interpretation.

If it helps, I find socialism and communism vomit inducing, harmful and a blight on the world and I want to stamp on the face of those that trumpet it.
Happy to help.

Over half a billion pounds of aid from the UK government is already being used to help slow the spread of the virus in developing countries. This includes support for research into vaccines and tests, as well as humanitarian support for developing countries.

International Development Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan said:

Health experts have said washing your hands regularly and staying away from other people are the most effective ways to stop this virus from spreading and to save lives.
Many people in the poorest countries lack access to basic handwashing products, such as soap, or are not aware of the urgent need to change their behaviour. The UK Government’s partnership with Unilever, will make a real difference, helping to protect both developing countries and the UK from further infections.
The mass awareness campaign will run across TV, radio and print, social and digital media to help change people’s behaviour in countries across Africa and Asia, like Kenya, Ghana and Bangladesh. Messages will be tailored to communities in these countries to ensure they are effective.
